amusing meme

i’ve been away from work for 4 days

and received about 1800 messages in that time. of these, approximately: 1130 are spam and viruses 600 are bounced mails, mailer-daemons and people falsely warning me that i sent them a virus (1130+600)/1800 == (0.961111111111111) …and so approximately 96% of my e-mail is rubbish.

bizzare

a young female blackbird is digging through the compost heap outside my bedroom window, and sneezing repeatedly as she does it. i’ve never seen a bird sneeze, before. maybe she has hayfever?

first rain

i’ve just got home after the first rain for several weeks. the petrichor is amazing, like mushrooms and basements.
