Well it’s no Grey Album, but ThePartyParty is one of the best, funniest, and most disturbing albums I’ve ever heard.
It’s an electronica/hip-hop mashup that sounds like it was partly soundtracked on a Nintendo, ripping lyrics and influences from Led Zep, The Who, Grandmaster Flash, Lennon, Eminem, U2 and a bunch of others, rewriting them for a modern audience, mixing them with new tracks and – capping it all – voicing them all almost entirely with George Bush samples.
The whole thing is good. Large chunks of it are great. A couple of tracks are superb.
All of it makes you think, laugh, or both.
