    I’m amazed at the continuous stability of the image; shows that such “mini-drones” really are viable platforms for low-altitude aerial photography (and I wonder if the BBC’s Natural History unit is using them). Looking at the trees shows that the footage was taken on a definitely windless day, though.

    Another point worth noting is that while the platform is impressively stable, it’s a long way from quiet; the moose was surprisingly nonchalant about all the buzzing. Brushless motors may help, but I wonder if there are moves to produce scaled-down “stealth rotors” as per those on the helicopters in the Abbotabad raid…
